The Dance Stew takes great pride in making dancing accessible to everyone We want to help each dancer find and reach their own goals from dancing salsa at the club to aiming for being the best on the competition floor.
There are many dances to choose from, Foxtrot, Swing, Salsa, Waltz, West Coast Swing, Tango, Cha Cha, just to name a few. It all starts with that first step!
So you have decided you are ready for some dance lessons...now what? First off, lets look at the most common questions.
What are the best dances to learn?
Of course we like them all but lets be truthful some are more useful than others, Salsa is very popular no matter where you go and it is a great way to burn off dinner! Swing is one of the most versatile because it fits to so much music from big band and rockabilly to blues and country. Foxtrot and Waltz are fantastic for special events and always a match for your favorite Rat Pack tunes. West coast swing and LA Street Hustle are tops on my list because they can be danced just about anywhere that plays pop music. They are also the most adaptable to each dancers personal style. I think of them as the tofu of dancing...
